FORMULASI DAN UJI ANTIOKSIDAN SEDIAAN FACE MIST DARI EKSTRAK ETANOL BUAH MALAKA (Phyllanthus emblica L.) SEBAGAI PELEMBAB WAJAH

Antioksidan sebagai penangkal radikal bebas sangat diperlukan oleh tubuh. Sumber antioksidan bisa diperoleh secara alami dan mudah dijumpai di sekitar kita. Salah satu sumber antioksidan alami adalah buah malaka (Phyllanthus emblica L.) karena mengandung flavonoid. Buah malaka diformulasikan pada sediaan face mist karena mudah dibawa dan mudah diserap pada kulit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dimana buah malak diaplikasikan sebagai zat aktif pada sediaan face mist. Adapun uji yang dilakukan terhadap sediaan face mist yaitu uji mutu fisik sediaan, kelembaban dan nilai aktivitas antioksidan. Hasil mutu fisik sediaan menunjukkan keberhasilan karena telah memenuhi persyaratan. Sediaan face mist stabil dalam suhu yang diaplikasikan, pH yang diperoleh sesuai dengan pH kulit yaitu 5,1 – 5,6 dan tidak menimbulkan efek kemerahan pada kulit. Viskositas, daya sebar dan waktu kering sediaan face mist sebesar 4.00 – 8.00 mPa.s, 5 – 7 cm dan 3:05 – 4:02 menit. Persen kelembaban tertinggi dimiliki oleh Formulasi 3 yaitu sebesar 25,01% dan nilai aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi dimiliki oleh Formulasi 2 yaitu sebesar 18,84 μg/mL.
